PA Members Participate in MLK Day of Service

This weeks post is guest written by Pennsylvania Energy Corps Member King Adjei-Frimpong who is serving with The Commission On Economic Opportunity in Wilkes-Barre, PA

Energy Corps Pennsylvania did our day of service at Energy Coordinating Agency in Philadelphia.  Jordan, Michael, Kayleigh, and I joined up with Matt and Tina and assisted with the Weatherization and Sustainability Workshops. We offered free window covers, caulking for door and window cracks, rain barrels, and even information on green jobs!  We split into pairs and canvassed Philadelphia, outreaching to members of the nearby community.   It was great seeing people partake in the conversations, asking questions, and be genuinely interested in what we had to say- we even had translators for the people who spoke Spanish.  Some even stayed after wanting to know more about what we do!  It was a great success!
